Description
This early 20th-century American electric chandelier dates to circa 1915–1930 and reflects the transitional period when electric lighting had fully replaced gas, yet fixtures still retained traditional, hand-crafted forms.
The chandelier features a solid brass body with a naturally aged, warm patina and three adjustable arms, each fitted with a period-appropriate opaline (milk glass) bell shade. The compact scale and downward-facing lights make it an excellent choice for entry halls, kitchens, stairwells, or intimate dining areas.
Designed as a factory-electric fixture from the outset, this piece was not converted from gas. The articulated arms allow for subtle adjustment of the light direction, a practical feature typical of early American electric lighting.
Retained in original, unpolished condition, the surface shows honest wear consistent with age, adding depth and character without compromising function.
