A handsome late 19th-century Victorian wall mirror featuring richly figured walnut veneer contrasted by deep ebonized mouldings and delicate incised decoration.

Dating to approximately 1875–1890, the mirror reflects the influence of the Victorian Aesthetic Movement, with its architectural arched form, layered mouldings and restrained geometric ornament. The warm amber and reddish tones of the figured walnut create a striking contrast against the black ebonized frame.
