A refined late 19th century American tabletop chest of drawers, executed in dark-stained walnut with strong neoclassical influence. The case features fluted corner pilasters, applied circular medallions, and a stepped molded top over a plinth base—details borrowed from classical architectural forms.

The two deep drawers retain their original cast brass pulls and open to reveal solid secondary wood construction, consistent with the period. Surface wear and patina throughout give the piece a rich, time-earned character.

Compact yet substantial, this piece functions equally well as a desk cabinet, entry chest, or decorative accent with strong architectural presence.
