Description

An adjustable brass desk lamp featuring a clear ribbed glass shade and a circular wooden base. The slender upright supports a jointed arm and tilting lamp head, allowing the shade to be positioned for directed light.

The brass has a mellow aged patina, complemented by the warm wood base. A flared glass shade with closely spaced vertical ribs and a gently scalloped edge adds texture while leaving the lamp’s simple mechanical construction visible.

The brass fittings are estimated to date to circa 1910–1930. The socket carries a Bryant switch; the maker of the complete lamp is unknown.

A compact task lamp for a desk, bedside table, or reading corner.
