A substantial antique silver-plated pedestal bowl by the International Silver Company, dating to the early 20th century.

Heavy and beautifully constructed, the bowl features a deep, gently tapered form raised on a stepped circular foot. A finely detailed floral border encircles the upper rim, adding a restrained classical element to the otherwise simple and elegant profile.

Years of natural wear have created an exceptional surface, with areas of dark oxidized silver plate revealing warm copper tones beneath. Subtle blue-green verdigris, scattered surface markings and layers of age give the bowl a rich, almost archaeological character that cannot be recreated artificially.

The underside retains the impressed International Silver Co. maker’s mark, along with additional production or pattern markings. Its substantial weight suggests a heavy copper or copper-alloy body beneath the original silver-plated finish.
