A striking vintage Canadian Sweet Caporal Cigarettes advertising sign dating to approximately the 1940s–1950s.

Featuring the slogan “Perfection… Check ✓”, the elongated sign is centred by a large stylized pink orchid rendered in vivid shades of coral, rose, burgundy and yellow. Elegant script lettering contrasts beautifully with the bold mid-century typography of the Sweet Caporal name.

Printed on artist board, the sign retains an authentic time-worn surface with fading, edge wear, paint losses, marks and general signs of its original commercial use. Rather than detracting, the naturally aged condition gives the piece the unmistakable character of genuine vintage advertising.

Sweet Caporal was one of Canada’s best-known historic cigarette brands, and surviving large-format advertising pieces are increasingly sought after by collectors of Canadian advertising, tobacco memorabilia and mid-century commercial graphics.
