A late 19th century European merchant’s balance scale, likely French or Belgian, featuring a richly patinated cast iron base with brass detailing, original brass weighing pan, and white marble counter slab. Marked “10 Kg,” indicating metric commercial use, this scale would have been used in a grocer, apothecary, or dry goods shop. Beautifully aged with untouched surface and strong sculptural presence. A rare and authentic decorative object with real historical function.
