Description

Savaged from famous Tosi Italian grocer in Vancouver.
An authentic early 20th century Italian grocery store Parmesan cutting table featuring a thick rotating wood  block top.

Originally used in Italian delicatessens and grocers to cut wheels of Parmigiano-Reggiano, the circular top rotates smoothly on a central spindle allowing the grocer to turn the heavy cheese wheel while scoring and breaking wedges.

The table retains its beautifully worn butcher block surface showing decades of honest use, set on a sturdy painted wood base with cross stretchers for stability.
