Description

A striking set of four large antique pendant lights dating to approximately 1920–1935.

Each pendant features a substantial opaline glass shade with a distinctive stepped profile, combining a translucent upper section with an opaque white lower bowl. Concentric moulded ribs around the widest portion of the shade give the fixtures a strong architectural quality characteristic of early Art Deco lighting.

The shades are suspended from brass galleries and chain, their warm aged brass contrasting beautifully with the opaline glass. When illuminated, the upper glass allows a soft glow through while the opaque lower section provides diffused downward light.

The large scale and availability as a matching set of four make these particularly suitable for a kitchen island, commercial interior, restaurant, hotel or large residential space.
