Description

Antique pendant light, circa 1920, featuring a large milk glass shade and a rare, finely detailed brass fitter. The substantial fitter has a stepped, flared profile with moulded borders and a finely ribbed decorative band. Its deep aged patina highlights the brass detailing.

The large shade has broad shoulders, straight sides and a rounded lower bowl, giving the fixture a strong architectural presence. White milk glass provides softly diffused light, while the dark brass creates a warm contrast. The shade bears a visible “Germany” stamp.

A distinctive period pendant for an entrance, kitchen, stairwell or commercial interior, with particular appeal in the scale of the glass and the unusual quality of its brass fitter.
