Description

An original commercial copper milk can manufactured for Nestlé and retaining its original brass maker’s plaque from Otto Franke & Cia., Buenos Aires. Constructed of hand-worked copper with riveted side handles and embossed NESTLÉ lettering, this vessel was likely used within the dairy processing and milk distribution industry during the early twentieth century.

The warm copper patina, industrial form, and association with one of the world’s most recognized food companies make this a highly decorative and collectible piece. Equally suited to use as a statement vessel, planter, or display object, it embodies the utilitarian beauty of early industrial design.

A scarce survivor from South America’s early dairy industry and an appealing addition to collections of advertising, industrial, and agricultural antiques.
