Pair of vintage adjustable chaise lounges by Tropitone, manufactured in Irvine, California, circa 1970s–1980s.

The loungers feature black metal frames with woven basket-weave strapping across the seats, extended footrests and reclining backs. The backs adjust to multiple positions, allowing the chairs to be used upright or reclined.

Both have a clean, low-profile California modern design typical of quality American outdoor furniture of the period.

Original Tropitone manufacturer’s label remains present and reads “Tropitone – 5 Marconi, Irvine, California 92718 – Made in U.S.A.”

Tropitone was an established American manufacturer of outdoor furniture supplying residential, hospitality, resort and poolside markets.
