Substantial 8-foot antique industrial workbench dating to circa 1910, constructed from heavy solid timber with a thick plank work surface, six central drawers and open storage bays.

Constructed from heavy solid timber with a substantial plank work surface, six central drawers and open storage bays to either side. The drawers retain old metal cup pulls and have heavily worn fronts showing decades of workshop use.

The substantial frame is built with large timber uprights and visible traditional joinery. The thick worktop consists of individual boards enclosed by a heavier perimeter, giving the bench an exceptionally strong architectural profile.

The surface has been cleaned while retaining the marks, wear, variations in colour and texture accumulated through its original working life. Particularly attractive grain and wear are visible across the drawer fronts and lower framing.

Originally made as a working shop or factory bench, its long proportions and storage make it equally suitable today as a large console, retail display table, kitchen worktable or centre island.
