The Pyle-National Company, founded in 1897 by George C. Pyle and Royal C. Vilas, was a manufacturer of lights for locomotives and other heavy machinery. Their most notable product was the first successful electric locomotive headlight.The company's Chicago plant, built in 1916, became their primary production site until 1963.
