Description
Found in an electrical / boiler room, this Crouse Hinds safety light casts a nice amber tone.
Crouse-Hinds, now part of Eaton, has a long history in electrical and lighting manufacturing, starting in 1897 with a focus on safety and harsh environments. Founded in Syracuse, New York, in 1897 by Huntington Beard Crouse and Jesse L. Hinds, the company initially focused on electrical panel boards, switchboards, and Hinds' patented switch. Initially, they produced items like trolley car headlights and electrical panel boards, later expanding into traffic signals, airport lighting, and even specialized lighting for the Panama Canal. Eaton's Crouse-Hinds series is known for its electrical safety equipment designed for hazardous and demanding industrial settings.
