Description
Early 20th-century pendant light featuring a large clear prismatic pressed-glass reflector suspended from an aged brass chain and ceiling canopy.
The substantial glass shade has tightly spaced vertical ribs designed to refract and distribute light. This type of prismatic glass was widely used in commercial, institutional and industrial interiors during the early decades of the 20th century.
The broad, shallow profile gives the fixture a strong architectural presence while allowing the exposed bulb to illuminate the deeply moulded glass. Suspended from a substantial period-style brass chain with matching brass ceiling canopy.
An excellent example of early industrial lighting that works equally well over a kitchen island, dining table, worktable or commercial interior.
H: 6.5" D: 10.5" 2.5ft drop.
