A rare metal cabinet , modular showing faux bois finish, brass details and fully functional  system. Made by Globe Wernike. The Globe-Wernicke company was formed in 1899 through the merger of the Cincinnati based Globe Files Company and the Wernicke Company, founded by Otto Wernicke. It is best known for inventing and patenting the "elastic bookcase," a modular, stacking system of glass-fronted shelves.
