Description

Antique painted wood interior door dating to approximately 1900–1920, featuring an unusually decorative combination of textured and etched glass.Salvaged from a home in Vancouver built in 1905.

The upper portion is divided into multiple panes of blue textured glass with contrasting deep burgundy corner panes, surrounding a large central frosted glass panel. The centre panel is decorated with an etched floral urn motif and linear border.

The lower section retains two traditional raised panels. Original old white painted surface shows expected chips, wear and exposed wood from age and use. Period surface-mounted lock hardware remains in place.

A particularly attractive architectural salvage door—the blue glass gives this one considerably more presence than a typical period glazed door.
