A substantial antique mercantile counter featuring a thick two-piece white marble top set over a solid plank-built pine base.

Dating to the late 19th to early 20th century, this piece was originally used in a working store environment, with an open-back configuration designed for daily use and access. The marble surface shows natural veining and wear consistent with age, while the base retains its original character with a warm, time-developed finish. Salvaged from the Tosi Italian Grocery in Vancouver , a staple since 1920.
