Description
A striking pair of German Art Nouveau vases manufactured by WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) of Geislingen, Germany, circa 1900–1910. Executed in brass with elegant Jugendstil styling, the vases feature sweeping openwork handles, stylized floral motifs, and decorative paw feet. The elongated form and organic ornamentation exemplify the movement’s fascination with nature and fluid design.
The underside retains the original WMF ostrich hallmark, confirming production by one of Germany’s most celebrated decorative arts manufacturers of the early twentieth century.
Presented in untouched antique condition with a rich, naturally aged patina acquired over more than a century.

WMF History
Founded in 1853 in Geislingen an der Steige, Germany, WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) became one of Europe’s most influential producers of decorative metalwork and tableware. During the Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) period from the late 1890s through the early 1900s, WMF gained international acclaim for its innovative designs, exceptional craftsmanship, and high-quality silver-plated and brass objects.
