Description

A striking Art Deco pendant light dating to approximately 1930, featuring a substantial moulded blue glass shade with a repeating geometric bullseye pattern. The softly frosted surface gives the glass an unusually rich blue appearance while diffusing the light beautifully.

The shade is formed with faceted sides decorated with concentric circular motifs separated by small geometric details—a particularly strong example of the machine-age decorative vocabulary associated with the Art Deco period.

Suspended from a brass-toned metal gallery with original-style thumb screws, chain and lower finial. The combination of blue architectural glass and restrained metalwork gives the fixture a clean, highly decorative appearance.
