Antique Quebec pine dining or work table dating to approximately 1870.

A strong example of 19th-century Quebec country furniture, featuring a solid pine plank top over a painted base with substantial turned legs and perimeter stretchers. A single drawer is incorporated into one end of the table.

The base retains an old cream-painted surface with natural wear, losses and exposed wood from generations of use. The pine top has a warm, scrubbed surface showing age, wear and patina.

At approximately 6 feet long, the table is a practical size for use as a dining table, kitchen table or work table while retaining the honest character of early Canadian country furniture.

Found in Montreal. A really great example.
