Description

An elegant antique cast iron conservatory salon set dating to the late 19th–early 20th century, designed for use in garden rooms, winter gardens, and verandas rather than large outdoor park settings. Likely of French or Continental origin, this refined suite reflects the Rococo Revival taste popular in European conservatories at the turn of the century.

The set features finely pierced seats and tabletops, flowing cabriole legs, and oval cartouche backs with scrolling foliate detail. The lighter, more intimate scale of the chairs is characteristic of conservatory furniture intended for enclosed or semi-enclosed spaces. The original painted surface remains, showing a beautifully aged patina developed over time.

Offered in unrestored condition, retaining its authentic surface and character. An exceptional and sculptural ensemble suited equally to conservatories, covered terraces, garden rooms, or interior display.
