Early 20th-century Arts and Crafts table lamp featuring a multi-panel slag glass shade in deep red and amber tones.

The shade is constructed with individual textured slag glass panels held within a brass framework. A pierced geometric border runs around the lower edge, while the stepped brass crown and finial complete the shade.

The substantial cast metal base has a shaped column rising from an ornamented square foot and retains a dark aged surface. A pull-chain socket operates the light.

When illuminated, the slag glass develops rich variations of red, amber and orange, with each panel displaying its own natural mottling.

A strong example of American Arts and Crafts period lighting dating to the early 20th century.
