Description

Matched set of three antique pendant lights featuring carved alabaster shades with softly scalloped rims and brass fittings.

Each shade is carved from natural alabaster, showing subtle variations in tone, translucency and mineral veining. When illuminated, the stone takes on a warm amber glow while retaining the characteristic cloudy variation of natural alabaster.

The simple bell-shaped form and restrained scalloped edge are characteristic of European lighting from the early 20th century. The fixtures have brass socket assemblies and have been rewired with cloth-covered cord.
