The wide upper frieze incorporates repeating carved fan and bead decoration, while the substantial side supports feature turned and reeded columns, carved capitals and moulded bases.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eConstructed in solid fir with the tight grain characteristic of early Pacific Northwest timber. The surface has been stripped back, revealing the warm natural colour and pronounced grain of the old-growth wood.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe close-up photographs show the hand-worked character, age, wear and construction of the lower column sections.
