Beautiful example of a classic globe from the 1930s and made by Weber Costello. The mounting mechanism is cast from copper.

The roots of what would become Weber Costello began when A.H. Andrews of Chicago sold their globe division to C.F. Weber about 1895. Under the C.F. Weber name, the company made globes until about 1907. A sale/merger that year resulted in the company's name change to Weber Costello. It existed until the late 1960s when they ceased operations. Any globe marked "Weber Costello" was made after 1907.
